The main purpose of this role will be to assist the Event Manager or Logistics Manager in operational duties within and around the stadium and even back at Shack HQ. The role will start earlier and finish later than most of the other staff. It will include moving all products and even bar units into place pre-event and ensuring all are clean and ready for service. Ensuring every last finishing touch must be completed pre-event and ensure the Event Manager is happy with everything. Then during the event you will need to check each bar in your allotted area to ensure they always have more than enough product and disposables for service, if they are short at any time then you will have to go to the storage unit and top up or move between bars, lots of initiative is needed to ensure no trip is wasted and not loads of extra stock is on the bars at the end of each shift. Then at the end of the service period you will be required to clear the area of all used products and potentially assist in moving all bars out of the stadium onto a van or lorry, this is always event dependant.
Personality – this is a key Shack trait as they need to ooze personality and passion in everything that they do. Problem solving – an event wouldn’t be an event without an issue, this is all about how the person can deal with it, not flapping and becoming over awed by something, dealing with it in a calm and professional manner. Spontaneity – being able to jump from bar to bar or event to event, sometimes there will be 1 days’ notice of an event and it is about being able to change a plan or your outlook of a stadium within minutes and jump into any given role on the day. Things change and that is what we deal with on a minutely basis. Can do attitude – this is another massive thing as everything needs to be “not a problem at all” as that is the Shack way, anything is possible and we will go above and beyond to ensure it is done. Working ethics – everyone needs to want to be there and want to work hard, this is a fundamental process from beginning to end. Punctuality – clearly a must, we cannot have anyone being late especially not our key staff members, this is just a given!
Decent level of fitness as lots of walking and heavy lifting is a requirement within the role. Personal Driving license would be beneficial as would a forklift license. However, neither are essential.
